The OneAmerica Financial Foundation is a nonprofit, private foundation with a long-standing tradition of service. Our charitable giving begins in Indianapolis and extends nationwide, transforming lives by strengthening communities. Our strategic focus remains in creating long-term impact.

    Guided by a commitment to create impact, the Foundation works to empower individuals and organizations through initiatives that improve financial literacy, enhance academic outcomes for youth, expand access to affordable housing and strengthen the capacity of social service providers.

Through sustainable community programs, the Foundation helps transform lives and create shared success through life-changing meaningful work. We’re driving change that uplifts entire communities.

Submission process for community grant application

The Foundation provides grants to nonprofits that align with our dedicated focus. Our charitable giving extends to communities across the country, with a primary focus on Indianapolis and Maine, where our engaged associates live and work.

By investing in meaningful change, the Foundation aims to transform lives and create shared success and stronger, more resilient communities for the future. The following are initiatives and programs we support:

  • Youth and education: Education-based learning programs, primarily for K-12 students.
  • Economic development: Workforce development efforts that increase employment opportunities and foster local talent.
  • Food security: Programs that can help ensure consistent access to nutritious food for individuals and families. Investment in initiatives that can address food insecurity through sustainable, community-based solutions.
  • Housing stability: Efforts that can help individuals and families obtain and maintain safe, stable and affordable housing.

Our standard process for review and approval of sponsorship requests is completed by November each year. Occasionally, the OneAmerica Financial FoundationSM Contributions Committee reviews new, unbudgeted requests from 501(c)3 organizations and allocates funds from a limited reserve.
