OneAmerica FinancialSM today announced its 2023 financial results, highlighted by 30% year-over-year growth in core adjusted revenue. New business was strong across nearly all key markets, led by year-over-year double-digit growth in Individual Life and Financial Services sales. Customers continued to believe in the organization’s products and services — trusting OneAmerica Financial to support their long-term financial wellness.
“2023 was outstanding by all accounts; however, the metrics that matter most are the ones that reflect the lives that we touched,” said Scott Davison, OneAmerica Financial chairman, president and CEO. “This year we paid nearly $7 billion in benefits to our clients, representing promises made and kept.”
Adjusted revenues show the organization grew revenue more than 10%. This is well above industry growth levels and reflects that more people trust OneAmerica Financial with their business today than ever before. Customers were retained at a rate of 94%, and $3.8 billion was secured in annual sales.
Ratings for OneAmerica Financial demonstrate an ability to remain strong and deliver for customers. The organization’s continued growth is supported by its strong capital position and financial strength, which were again validated by major ratings agencies in 2023.
A.M. Best reaffirmed the A+ (Superior) rating for OneAmerica Financial companies American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL) and The State Life Insurance Company® (State Life) on Aug. 31, 2023. A+ (Superior) is the second-highest of 15 possible ratings issued by the agency.
In addition, the AA- rating assigned to AUL and State Life by Standard & Poor’s was also affirmed — the fourth-highest of 22 possible ratings as of Aug. 23, 2023. OneAmerica Financial insurance companies are among only 8% of U.S. life insurers with an A.M. Best rating of A+ (Superior) or higher and a Standard & Poor’s rating of AA- or higher.*
