Our Corporate Citizenship

OneAmerica® strives to give back to our communities each and every day. Our vision for our community involvement is to improve the quality of life in our home communities. We do this through:

  • Meaningful and impactful charitable giving.
  • Employee engagement through volunteering.
  • Contributing leadership as an asset to community partners.
  • Making deliberate connections between community partners in order to elevate and expand the impact that is being made in our communities.

Making A Difference

We owe much of our reputation to our employees. Their passion and dedication to communities includes supporting the United Way and the American Red Cross, donating suits to Dress for Success and volunteering for a variety of non-profit organizations. Our employees bring a spirit of service and giving to every community activity we support.

Each year, many OneAmerica associates across the country – more than 1,000 in 2019 – volunteer their time to support United Way affiliates and organizations during our annual Week of Caring. Started in 2014 by Chairman, President and CEO Scott Davison, the Week of Caring is the first weeklong "pay it forward" event of its kind in Central Indiana and is followed by the company’s annual United Way giving campaign.

Charitable giving to qualified 501(c)3 organizations is another way we support our communities. We set aside of portion of our profits to support organizations that improve the quality of life in our community.

It wouldn’t be community spirit at OneAmerica without a little fun. Another aspect of our community involvement is the tradition of the Indy signboard. Since 1958, the companies of OneAmerica have displayed a weekly quip or pun for the pleasure of employees and the general public.
