Why did you choose to spend your summer at OneAmerica? The atmosphere of the company and the city of Indianapolis.

Advice for interns on their first day? Be ready to take notes. There is a lot of information that you go over the first day.

Describe OneAmerica culture in one word: Collaborative

Favorite thing about working at OneAmerica: I will never go hungry on my floor.

Best piece of advice you were given during your internship? Talk to people, try to understand their backgrounds and how they got to the job they are in now. It will help you figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life. Not many people that started in insurance, knew a lot about insurance or if they wanted to be here. Now that we are here, we like it.

What about your experience at OneAmerica would interest you in a future career here? The community feel; everyone is willing to help out so I am not hesitant asking questions whether it is about the job or just about life in general.

What tip would you give to those interviewing for internships next summer? Do research on the company. If you can, reach out to people on LinkedIn to find out what they do on a daily basis and how their role encompasses the vision of OneAmerica.

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?: "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire

Favorite sports team: Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball
