OneAmerica's Brian Pinkins wins Achievement in Business award

Indianapolis (March 22, 2011) – The Center for Leadership Development has honored Brian Pinkins of OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc. with the “Achievement in Business” award. Each year, the center recognizes individuals for their professional contributions and community service.
Pinkins, a supervisor of shipping/receiving and supply services, is responsible for managing a warehouse that holds more than 4,000 inventory items and supplies 30 internal customer groups. Since starting with OneAmerica in 2006, he has been credited with tens of thousands of dollars annually in efficiency savings as well as improved morale among his team.
“Brian’s leadership has made him one of OneAmerica’s top performers,” said Brian Lauber, chief marketing officer for OneAmerica. “He has transformed the shipping and receiving department into a high-energy area that delivers great results. Brian sets an example for other managers that they, too, can build and manage a team of employees that make a difference and take pride in their work.”
Pinkins is an Indianapolis native who donates his time and resources to community organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, United Way and Habitat for Humanity, and has organized and hosted events to benefit Gleaners Food Bank and leukemia and lymphoma research. He was presented with the award at the organization’s Minority Business and Professional Achiever’s Recognition awards dinner.
This is the second consecutive year an employee of a OneAmerica company has been honored by the Center for Leadership Development. Last year, Enoch Edusei, vice president of administration for the retirement services division of American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL) was given the Human Achievement Award. AUL is a OneAmerica company.
