OneAmerica customer service agent receives highest score in Western Hemisphere on LOMA coursework

Indianapolis (June 11, 2012) – Travis Barnes, a customer services team lead in the retirement services division of American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL), a OneAmerica company, achieved the highest average scores in the entire Western Hemisphere in the Life Office Management Association’s (LOMA) Associate, Customer Service (ACS) program in 2011. Barnes, who resides in Westfield, Ind., will be honored at LOMA’s annual conference and conferment in Seattle in September.

LOMA is a member organization made up of more than 1,200 companies in the insurance and financial services industry in over 80 countries. LOMA seeks to improve management and operations in the industry through employee development, research and information sharing.
AUL will also be honored for being among less than 10 percent of LOMA members to earn the 2012 Excellence in Education Award. To be eligible, a company must enroll in a minimum of 50 LOMA examinations during the year, achieve exceptional pass rates (historically an average of 85 percent or higher), and grow LOMA examination enrollments from the previous year. This is the seventh year in a row AUL has earned the Excellence in Education Award.
