Mark Wilkerson Named New Senior Vice President of Individual Business
Thirty-year veteran will lead aggressive growth strategy

OneAmerica® today named Mark A. Wilkerson, CFPâ, CLU, LLIF, as senior vice president of individual operations for the OneAmerica companies. Wilkerson was promoted to the position after serving as executive vice president for the OneAmerica company, The State Life Insurance Company.
As senior vice president, Wilkerson will lead all aspects of the broad individual business portfolios of the OneAmerica companies, which include American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL), The State Life Insurance Company, OneAmerica Securities and Pioneer Mutual Life. The division includes more than 300 employees and a distribution network of more than 4700 producers.

Molendorp, OneAmerica chairman, president and CEO. “He has proven success in every aspect of the industry, including sales, marketing, agency relationships and product distribution. He is well-suited to lead our growth strategy.”
Wilkerson’s focus on growth begins with the enterprise’s commitment to the career agent system. “If we are going to reach more people with our strong portfolio of individual insurance products, we have to expand our career distribution channel,” said Wilkerson. “So we’re taking a very aggressive approach that will dramatically increase general agencies over the next five years.”
Wilkerson will also look to build on strengths, particularly in the emerging asset-based long-term care market. “We have a 125-year tradition of being there when our customers need us most,” continued Wilkerson. “That commitment carries through to our senior customers. We plan to be a leader in providing a strong asset-based (LTC) product portfolio to this market, as evidenced by our increase in Annuity Care sales. We will build on that momentum in every aspect of our individual and enterprise business.”
