Innovative health and wellness clinic unveiled for OneAmerica employees

Indianapolis (April 28, 2011) – Executives from OneAmerica Financial Partners and OurHealth, a provider of integrated on-site health management services, today unveiled OurClinic @ The Tower, a new health and wellness facility located in the OneAmerica tower that will offer onsite health care and wellness coaching for OneAmerica employees. Starting this spring, OneAmerica employees and their dependents can receive no cost medical care through the clinic 40 hours a week. The primary purpose of OurClinic @ The Tower will be to assist OneAmerica’s 1,300 Indiana-based employees in meeting their health risk targets and maintaining good overall health.

OurClinic @ The Tower will become the focal point for OneAmerica’s Active Choices employee wellness program. Through the program, employees are able to earn incentives such as health insurance premium discounts of up to $300 a year by effectively managing five targeted critical health risks: weight management, blood pressure, cholesterol, tobacco use and glucose level. Staffed by two doctors, a nurse practitioner, two nurses and a health coach, OurClinic @ The Tower will play an active and ongoing role in supporting OneAmerica employees as they pursue their health goals and will be available for no-cost acute care (sick visits) when needed.
The clinic will also be open for employees’ family members age 16 or over who are covered by OneAmerica’s company health plan as well as OneAmerica retirees under the age of 65. In addition to health promotion and acute care services, all patients will be able to receive laboratory testing services, many generic drugs from the clinic at no charge and access to robust online health management tools. Because the medical staff is not affiliated with any health system, they will also be able to make value-based referrals for care not available from the clinic, allowing the patient to decide where to receive additional care after considering costs.
