For Immediate Release:
Indianapolis (Nov. 15, 2010) – The retirement services division at American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL), a OneAmerica company, has received 17 Best in Class awards based on PLANSPONSOR magazine’s 2010 Defined Contribution Survey. The number represents the most awards ever bestowed upon AUL by PLANSPONSOR. In 2009, AUL Retirement Services garnered five awards from the same survey.
“Adding to the trophy case is always nice, but the fact these awards are driven by responses from our actual plan sponsors is what we find most rewarding,” said Bill Yoerger, senior vice president for AUL Retirement Services. “To have this level of success based upon client feedback reiterates the vital focus we place on our customers and on delivering high quality offerings. We can mark this as a successful benchmark, as we strive to continue to grow and build strong relationships with our clients.”
In the small market category, AUL Retirement Services received seven Best in Class awards for services delivered to participants, in categories such as enrollment assistance and overall education, and nine awards for sponsor services such as account/service team responsiveness and plan design flexibility. In addition, the division also received one Best in Class award for participation services in the micro market. PLANSPONSOR defines the micro market segment as plans with less than $5 million in assets and the small market segment as plans with between $5 and $50 million in assets.
The results are determined by a seven-point satisfaction survey that is distributed to AUL Retirement Services plan sponsors and PLANSPONSOR magazine’s database. AUL Retirement Services received a total of 591 responses with the top industries represented, including manufacturing, health care (nonprofit) and nonprofit/endowment foundation.
