Assistanct Vice President and Associate Actuary

As assistant vice president and associate actuary for R.E. Moulton, Inc., Brett provides actuarial support to sales, underwriting, management, carriers, and reinsurers. His primary responsibility is managing the pricing and profitability of the stop loss insurance products of American United Life Insurance Company^®  (AUL). 

Detels is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan College in Delaware, OH. He began his actuarial career at Liberty Life Assurance Company of Boston (a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual) working with a variety of group life, health and disability insurance products. Detels then changed his focus to health insurance products and began a career as a health insurance actuary at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. After having worked five years with HCC. Brett has been working in medical stop loss at R.E. Moulton since 2002.
