Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An employee assistance program (EAP) is a confidential worksite-based program offered by EAP Consultants, Inc. and is designed to offer services to both employers and employees. An EAP provides assessment services, counseling and referral services for employees with personal issues, as well as consultation for the employer on issues such as workplace violence, organizational change, critical incidents and conflict resolution. In addition, an EAP offers consultation and referral services for work/life issues such as elder care, childcare, legal, and financial matters.

EAP Consultants was established in 1989 with the mission of providing comprehensive, nationwide employee assistance programs, extensive work/life services and online personal development programs to meet the needs of employers. AUL policyholders with employer-paid group insurance coverage and one additional group insurance coverage (employer-paid or employee paid) may select a special one-visit EAP plan at reduced cost.
